Hello, I am Heather Cisowski, a special education teacher with 17 years of experience teaching all ages. I believe that all students will achieve amazing academic gains when given personalized instruction, strategies to support areas of need, and teaching that comes from the heart. I specialize in youth who have executive functioning and motivation struggles.

Personalized Academic Coaching
Students receive academic support in identified areas as well as support in general homework completion. Through integrated feedback from the student's learning institutions, parent feedback, and brief academic assessments for the child, I customize lessons to improve identified areas of need. I also provide homework help, study strategy coaching, and support with planning and executing projects.
I also walk students through the meaningful practice of reflecting on their progress in their classes, and real time help completing assignments and projects as well as support studying for tests.

Get to Know Me
Heather Cisowski
Educational Specialist
Heather Cisowski is a Bay Area native who found her love for helping others unlock their learning potential when she became a tutor in college and her passion has grown ever since.
Heather earned her BA from the University of Pennsylvania while working in the West Philadelphia schools as a teacher's assistant and after school sports coordinator. Heather joined Teach for America in 2005 where she taught resource reading and writing to middle school students and earned her masters in Special Education from UNLV. In 2007, Heather returned to the Bay Area and taught a wide range of special day classes and resources classes at Los Gatos High School while earning her clear California Education Specialist teaching credential. After school hours, Heather has always worked with individual students either as a private tutor or providing special eduction home school students with instruction.
